[Additional provision 1] Special notice for users residing in the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom

This provision is intended to inform users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom of additional rights and information under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant laws of the United Kingdom.

1. Opt-in principle for analytics and advertising cookies

  • Except for essential cookies that are indispensable to providing the service securely and in its basic form, the Company activates all analytics and advertising cookies only where the user has given clear prior consent.
  • Until the user chooses to allow them in the cookie consent banner shown at the bottom of the screen on the first visit to the website, those cookies are neither stored on nor run in the user’s browser or device.
  • Users may withdraw consent or change their settings at any time from the "Cookie settings" menu in the footer at the bottom of the screen; withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

2. Data subject rights of users under the EU GDPR

Under European regulations, users have the following rights in relation to the personal information the Company collects through cookies (online identifiers, IP addresses, etc.).

  • 1) Right to data portability: Users have the right to request that the Company provide the personal information it has collected through cookies and similar tools in a commonly used file format that can easily be opened and exported by a computer (program), such as a spreadsheet (CSV) or text (JSON) file. Where technically feasible, users may also request that the Company transmit (transfer) their data directly and securely to another service (an online store, etc.) without the user having to download it.
  • 2) Right to restriction of processing: Users have the right to request that the Company restrict the processing of their personal information in certain circumstances (for example, where the accuracy of the personal information is contested or the processing is unlawful).
  • 3) Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: Where users consider that the Company’s processing of personal information and cookies infringes the GDPR, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of the member state of their residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

[Additional provision 2] Special notice for users residing in the State of California, USA

This provision is intended to inform users residing in the State of California of additional rights and information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

1. Notice of the right to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information

Under California law, NOVERA shop’s use of cookies and pixels of third-party advertising and analytics partners to improve the service and deliver personalized advertising may be regarded as a sale of personal information or as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Users have the right to require the Company at any time not to sell or share their personal information. To block the transmission of data to the Company’s advertising partners and exercise this right, please click the link below to adjust your cookie settings.

If a user opts out, the Company stops the operation of all non-essential targeting and advertising cookies in the user’s browser. In that case, personalized product recommendations and notices of discount benefits may be limited.

2. Declaration of recognition of Global Privacy Control signals

NOVERA shop respects the privacy choices users have made. The Company automatically detects and recognizes the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal transmitted by the user’s web browser or mobile device.

Where the Company’s platform detects a valid GPC signal or another commonly recognized opt-out preference signal from the user’s device, the Company automatically treats it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser or device.

In that case, third-party tracking, analytics and advertising cookies are automatically disabled by the system even without any separate manual setting by the user.

3. Consumer rights for California residents

California users have the following rights in relation to personal information collected through cookies and online identifiers.

  • 1) Right to know and right of access: Users have the right to request disclosure of the specific items and categories of personal information the Company has collected, used and shared through cookies during the preceding 12 months.
  • 2) Right to deletion: Users have the right to request deletion of the personal information the Company has collected, except for data indispensable to performing legal obligations such as completing orders and processing payments.
  • 3) Right to correction: Users have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information held by the Company.

4. Right of California residents not to be discriminated against

The Company does not discriminate against users because they have exercised their privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

Even if users exercise their right to opt out of cookie tracking, no disadvantage whatsoever arises, such as denial of access to NOVERA shop services, differential product pricing or degradation of service quality.

To exercise the rights above, please contact our Platform Business Team (cs@novera.town / 1566-5857).
